NJ CAR is proud to announce that Larry Kull, President of the Burns Kull Auto Group, was recently selected as New Jersey’s 2020 TIME Dealer of the Year (TDOY) Award winner. The TDOY recognizes new vehicle dealers in the United States for exceptional performance in their dealerships, combined with distinguished community service.
Nominations for the TIME Dealer of the Year award are submitted by NJ CAR members, and a winner is chosen by the NJ CAR Awards Nominating Committee, made up of the sitting NJ CAR Chairman and all past winners of this prestigious honor. A nominee must be a member of the National Automobile Dealer Association (NADA) and NJ CAR for at least five years. In addition, the individual should spend at least 60% of his or her time involved in dealership affairs. Larry will represent New Jersey in the National competition, which takes place at the NADA Show in Las Vegas, February 14-17, 2020.
Larry began his automotive career 40 years ago, when he was hired as the Fixed Operations Director at Burns Pontiac Honda, in 1979. Fast forward to 2019 and he is among the most respected dealers in New Jersey. Larry is a leader, not just here in New Jersey, but nationally. He served as Chairman of AIADA and AFITPAC in 2014 and also served as Chairman of NJ CAR in 2015.
Larry is very supportive of many local civic and community organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors of both the Evesham Education Foundation and the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. He has also been involved in a variety of other charitable efforts including serving as a major sponsor of the Cherokee Turf Field, as well as the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk and the Automotive Section of the John F. Scarpa Technical School. Burns Kull Automotive Group has also sponsored 18 NADA Charitable Trust Ambassadors.
Please join NJ CAR in congratulating Larry on this great honor and wishing him luck as he represents New Jersey on the national stage.
